M19 - Project Manager (Cloud Platform)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise cloud platform initiatives focused on architecture standardization, governance, and modernization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing cross-functional technology programs involving cloud transformation, infrastructure standardization, platform engineering, and enterprise architecture alignment.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering, cloud operations, security, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to drive scalable, secure, and standardized cloud platform solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud platform and architecture standardization projects.
• Drive standardization of cloud infrastructure, platform services, deployment patterns, and frameworks.
• Coordinate with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, DevOps teams, security teams, and vendors to align technical solutions with organizational standards.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Establish and track project KPIs, milestones, and delivery metrics.
• Facilitate architecture review sessions, governance checkpoints, and technical workshops.
• Ensure adherence to cloud best practices, compliance requirements, and security standards.
• Support migration and modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD, automation, and reusable cloud patterns.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, RAID logs, and executive presentations.
• Manage change requests and ensure smooth transition into operational support.
• Foster collaboration between business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT project management with exposure to cloud platform initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and platform standardization concepts.

Experience managing projects involving:

• Cloud migration and modernization
• Enterprise architecture governance
• Infrastructure standardization
• DevOps and automation initiatives
• Platform engineering
  Hands-on knowledge of one or more cloud platforms:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Familiarity with:

• Kubernetes / container platforms
• CI/CD pipelines
• Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• Cloud security and compliance frameworks
  Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  Experience using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or ServiceNow.
  PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications are preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programs.
  Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Understanding of cloud financial management and FinOps practices.
• Experience working with architecture review boards and governance committees.
• Knowledge of ITIL and operational service management processes.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of IT/cloud project management experience leading end-to-end initiatives.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, platform standardization, and governance in the Government sector.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to define KPIs, track metrics, and ensure project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and platform engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and monitoring tools.
• Experience coordinating architecture review boards or governance committees.
