Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and fast-paced MaintenanceEngineer to join our team. TheMaintenance Engineer isresponsible for maintenance, resolving advanced technical issues, and ensuringthe successful execution of any maintenance related works. This role requirescomprehensive knowledge of multiple Access Control Systems and deep diagnosticcapabilities.

You will work closely with technical managers to deliver secure, stable, and scalable maintenanceworks across mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

1. On site system troubleshooting

● Act as the L1 and L2 escalation point for all technical issues across multiple client environments.

● Investigate root-cause analysis (RCA), incident resolution, and long-term corrective action planning.

● Diagnose advanced issues, credentialing workflows, hardware faults, network routing, and subsystem integrations.

● Engage vendor support teams for deep-dive troubleshooting, bug escalations, and patch management.

● Replacement of hardware or upgrade of firmware or patching.

2. Multi-Platform Expertise (If any)

● Hands-on expertise in any of the Systems such as:

- LenelS2 OnGuard

- HID / Mercury-based systems

-  Genetec

- Suprema / ZKTeco / Axis

- Milestone VMS

- Video Wall

● Ability to configure, integrate, and optimize controllers, readers, credential formats, PIN/biometric workflows, and enterprise permissions across platforms is essential.

3. Maintenance, Optimization & Lifecycle Management

● Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans, system health checks, and upgrade strategies.

● Ensure proper documentation: Service reports, update of any design document if any change or upgrade of hardware or firmware.

Requirements:

1. Diploma / Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.

2. Technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly recommended.

3. Experience: 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience

Skills:

● Strong understanding of:

- Network connection

- SQL databases, Windows Server, virtualized environments

- Door hardware (maglocks, strikes, sensors, interlocks)

- Identity and access management principles

- Video Management Software

● Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose both software and hardware issues.

● Willingness to perform hands-on field work

● Able to perform standby or after-hours support upon fault call activated on rotation basis

● Class 3 license is preferred

● Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese is an advantage, as the role requires liaising with Chinese-speaking clients.
