Microstrategy Developer #IAC

Responsibilities

• Crafting, designing, implementing, and maintaining MicroStrategy schemas.
• Enhancing performance, conducting tests, and resolving issues for both new and existing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
• Proficiency in optimizing MSTR performance and familiarity with VLDB properties.
• Assessing present and upcoming trends and best practices in the BI field during the design phase.
• Analyzing business needs, converting them into technical requirements and specifications.
• Assisting in project planning, estimation, approach definition, and implementation scheduling.
• Supporting, designing, constructing, and testing MicroStrategy components such as objects, projects, reports, dashboards, and cubes, including MSTR Desktop Advanced Reports and MSTR Intelligence Cube Reports.
• Strategizing customized application lifecycle management for embedded solutions.
• Contributing to solution architecture, proof of concepts, and estimations.
• Developing application dashboards and executing automated compliance audits.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL scripting for databases.
• Establishing security roles, filters, schedules, subscriptions, and user groups.
• Experience in configuring transmitters, devices, and users for automated distribution services.
• Adhering to development standards.
• Implementing advanced metrics, filters, custom groups, consolidation, and prompts.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in MicroStrategy development, including design, development, and implementation of BI solutions.
• Proficiency in MicroStrategy platform components, including Architect, Developer, Web, and Mobile.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of MicroStrategy applications for optimal performance.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in MicroStrategy are a plus (e.g., MicroStrategy Certified Developer, MicroStrategy Certified Engineer).
• Experience in creating schema objects (attribute, facts, hierarchy and transformation)
• Knowledge on Control M is added advantage
