Middleware Engineer

Role Overview

The Middleware Engineer will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to provide operational and project support for enterprise middleware platforms. The role requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise middleware platforms, including Oracle WebLogic, JBoss EAP, Apache Web Server, JBoss Web Server, and Apache Tomcat.
• Provide operational and project support for middleware environments.
• Handle service requests related to middleware platforms and services.
• Perform application deployments across supported systems and environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related incidents and technical issues.
• Participate in on-call standby rotations to support production incidents and operational requirements.
• Provide after-hours and 24x7 operational support when required, including production incident resolution, application deployments, middleware patching, project cutover activities, and critical service requests with management approval.
• Work closely with internal IT teams, application teams, project stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure stable and reliable middleware operations.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, administering, or supporting middleware platforms.
• Hands-on experience with middleware and web technologies such as Oracle WebLogic, JBoss EAP, JBoss Web Server, Apache Web Server, and Apache Tomcat.
• Familiarity with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Shell scripting.
• Middleware-related certifications are advantageous.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
