Network Architect (Bank Permanent)

• Evaluate, assess, and recommend emerging networking technologies by conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical evaluations to determine their suitability for enterprise banking environments, with a strong focus on scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise network architecture, leading end-to-end solution design, planning, implementation, and validation across mission-critical environments.
• Design, implement, and support network and security solutions, including LAN, SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls, load balancers, network automation, and observability platforms across data center and branch infrastructures throughout the APAC region.
• Architect and manage advanced data center networking solutions, including Spine-Leaf architectures, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, multi-site interconnectivity, and highly available network designs that support business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Provide deep technical expertise in routing, switching, and transport technologies, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, VRFs, QoS, network virtualization, multi-tenancy, and Zero Trust segmentation strategies at both macro and micro levels.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards, technical documentation, High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation guides, operational runbooks, and network governance frameworks.
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, performance audits, and compliance evaluations, delivering recommendations to enhance network performance, security posture, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Present technical solutions and infrastructure strategies to both technical and management stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support during major incidents, complex troubleshooting scenarios, and critical infrastructure changes, driving corrective and preventive actions when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Security, Middleware, End User Computing, Project Management, and Application teams, to design, deploy, and troubleshoot integrated technology solutions.
• Partner with regional and country IT teams across APAC to review network architectures, resolve complex technical issues, and drive infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to agreed service levels and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise network and security infrastructures.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the design and deployment of SASE, Cisco SD-WAN, Network Automation, and Network Observability solutions within large enterprise environments.
• Strong technical expertise in enterprise and data center networking, including architecture, implementation, and operational support.
• Proven experience designing and implementing highly available, multi-tier data center network infrastructures.
• Hands-on proficiency with networking and security technologies from Cisco, F5, Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks.
• Experience with multi-vendor network automation and observability platforms.
• Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to drive end-to-end solution delivery across complex projects and programs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Professional certifications such as CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, or DevNet), CCDE, or CCNP are highly desirable.
• Prior experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and operational best practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with regional regulatory and compliance requirements, including MAS, RBI, BOT, and other relevant financial industry standards.
