Network Engineer (Ref 24115N)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Centre, Cloud).

• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.

• Support network infrastructure deployment and configuration.

• Install and configure network devices including:

• Configure routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and network services.

• Perform system integration and implementation activities.

• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity.

• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching.

• Ensure network uptime and service reliability.

• Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.

• Implement and maintain network security controls:

• Ensure compliance with organisational security standards and policies.

• Apply patches and security updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including:

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles.

• Experience in enterprise, ISP, or data centre environments preferred.

• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network technologies.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

certification is required.

• Vendor certifications (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba) or equivalent is preferred.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model)

• Proficiency in routing and switching technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Huawei)

• Working knowledge of network security concepts (Firewall, VPN, IPSec, ACL)

• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix)

• Knowledge of MPLS, VLANs, and VPN technologies

• Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., Azure, AWS) is an advantage

• Ability to work under pressure and manage incidents

• Good communication and stakeholder engagement
