Network Operations Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

The candidate will have experience in network operations management, overseeing the performance and reliability of network infrastructure, updating existing network resources, configuring new ones and to mitigate network security threats. He is to lead small teams of L1/L2 network engineers in preventive and corrective network maintenance and to enforce procedures for disaster recovery and incident management.

·       Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of LANs, WANs, and cloud connectivity. Ensure operational procedures and practices are well defined, documented and consistently applied.

·      Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and define performance goals for network engineers and network operations staff. Monitor the effectiveness of the team against SLA/KPIs, driving through change as needed to deliver continual service improvement.

·      Monitoring & Incident Management: Ensure 24/7 monitoring of network health, leading cross-functional teams to quickly resolve outages and conducting post-incident reviews.

·      Vendor Management: Negotiate and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing vendor relationships and procurement activities.

·       Strategy & Planning: Execute capacity planning, enforce network security policies, and manage Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).

·       Reporting and Escalation: Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required. Prepare monthly progress report to customer.

Requirements:

• Candidate to possess a Diploma/Degree in IT qualifications
• 3-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership and team management
• Deep understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, and modern cloud network architecture
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
