Network Security (Bluecoat Proxy)

Keep our global enterprise perimeter network secure, fast, and flawless. In this role, you will protect, optimize, and maintain critical defense systems—including firewalls, proxies, and remote access platforms. You will lead the investigation of complex network issues, deploy advanced security upgrades, and ensure our infrastructure remains completely bulletproof.

Your Daily Playbook

🛡️ Perimeter Defense & Engineering

• Command the Perimeter: Maintain enterprise security systems with a heavy focus on Bluecoat Proxy, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Slay Network Outages: Rapidly investigate and fix critical business system outages caused by firewall, proxy, or remote access blocks.
• Packet Detective: Use tcpdump, pcap, and Wireshark to deep-dive into network traffic and isolate root causes.
• Escalate & Track: Collaborate closely with engineering teams and vendors to drive complex issues to a fast resolution.

⚙️ Advanced Projects & Upgrades

• Execute Complex Changes: Drive projects beyond standard operations, managing multi-stage software upgrades, hardware installs, and configuration activities.
• Enforce Compliance: Analyze customer requirements to ensure all designs strictly follow information security policies and guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide engineering support to implement new infrastructure and upgrade legacy hardware.

🧱 Core Security Tech Stack

• Firewalls: Deep hands-on mastery of Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint (Secure Platform Pro & Gaia), and Juniper (SRX/Netscreen).
• Proxies & VPNs: Strong experience with Bluecoat Proxy, Juniper SSL VPN, and Cisco ASA (with AnyConnect).
• Networking & OS: Solid understanding of network routing (BGP) and hands-on Linux/Unix familiarity.
