Network Solution Engineer

A large Financial institution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to design, plan, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure. In this role, you will define the strategic direction for network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance to support business growth. You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end network solutions including LAN, WAN, Data Center, cloud, and hybrid networking environments.

• Develop network architecture roadmaps, standards, and best practices aligned with business objectives and industry trends.

• Lead network capacity planning, performance analysis, and technology selection for routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and SD-WAN.

• Architect secure network solutions incorporating zero-trust principles, segmentation, encryption, and defense-in-depth strategies.

• Collaborate with security teams to ensure network designs meet compliance requirements (e.g., MAS, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or GDPR as applicable).

• Extensive expertise in advanced data center technologies, including spine‑leaf architectures, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, multi‑site interconnects, and highly available, redundant network designs that support disaster recovery.

  Evaluate emerging technologies such as SDN, automation, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), and network observability tools.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and operations teams.

• Create and maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, configuration templates, and migration plans.

• Participate in incident root cause analysis and drive architectural improvements to prevent recurrence.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a network architecture or senior design role.
• Min. 3 years of working experience related to SASE, Cisco SDWAN, Network Automation and Observability. Design and implementation in large scale.
• Deep expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, MPLS, VXLAN).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD) and load balancers (F5, Citrix, AWS ALB/NLB).
• Strong knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN, network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform), and infrastructure as code principles.
• Experience designing cloud and hybrid networking solutions (AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, GCP Cloud NAT, VPNs, Direct Connect / ExpressRoute).
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP (Enterprise/Data Center/Security), JNCIE, or cloud networking certifications (AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
