Position description: We are seeking a proactive and adaptable operational performance management engineer to support the development, execution, and maintenance of data-driven operational solutions across the renewable business in Singapore. The role will be responsible for automating routine data processing workflows, developing and maintaining reporting pipelines, supporting internal digital platforms, and providing operational data support to the asset management and various departments. 

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be comfortable working with diverse datasets and business requirements, and have experience in Python-based automation and data analysis. The candidate will also act as a key liaison between business users and technical developers for internal digital systems and applications. 

Primary Responsibilities

Renewable Data Operations – Automation, Analytics, Reporting & Dashboarding 

  • Lead and execute initiatives to automate and improve routine data extraction, cleaning, transformation, reporting, and dashboarding pipelines for renewable asset performance data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data availability, processing failures, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of outputs. 
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes, business logic, and data workflows.
  • Work with stakeholders to continuously improve reporting efficiency and usability. 
  • Support the exploration and implementation of AI/ML-enabled analytics where appropriate, such as anomaly detection, forecasting, or automated insight generation
  • Support cross-functional data operations (e.g., work with O&M, Engineering, Customer Engagement, Business Development, and Digital teams to convert operational data into actionable insights), as and when needed. 

Digital Platform & Application Product Ownership 

  • Manage day-to-day administration of the company's in-house project management and digital platforms. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact between end users and software developers. 
  • Gather user feedback and translate business requirements into clear functional requirements. 
  • Support user onboarding, account administration, permission management, and access control. 
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues, escalating complex problems to development teams where necessary. 
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate application enhancements and releases. 
  • Maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Support simple dashboard enhancements, scripting and prototypes; coordinate more complex front/backend development with digital platform team. 

Educational qualifications preferred

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. 

Mandatory 

  • Curious, structured, hands-on, stakeholder-friendly
  • Data processing, transformation, and cleaning techniques
  • Data visualization and reporting
  • Python programming
  • Kusto Query Language (KQL) / Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Frontend (JavaScript) and backend (JavaScript/Python) coding fundamentals 

Preferred 

  • Machine learning fundamentals
  • SharePoint and Microsoft 365 ecosystem proficiency
  • Power Apps (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.)
  • Web application development / administration experience
