Principal Engineer

 Principal Engineer, as a technical leader within the product and/or delivery team, your primary responsibilities include:

·       Provide leadership with minimal supervision, taking ownership of outcomes independently.

·       Maintain hands-on technical involvement while mentoring team members and coordinating cross-functional efforts.

·       Conduct code and design reviews, ensuring team members adhere to established guidelines and coding standards.

·       Develop product migration strategies to transition existing technologies to newly selected platforms, ensuring back ward compatibility with existing implementations.

·       Propose alternative technical approaches to address diverse project scenarios.

·       Combine deep technical expertise with clear, accessible communication to make a strong impression on customers and prospects.

·       Champion the product's technology and vision to drive adoption among project team members and prospects.

·       Lead a high-calibre team to deliver required product and project deliverables.

Requirements:

·       Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

·       Minimum of 10 years' experience in the IT industry, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.

·       Strong hands-on experience with the following technology stack: Java, JavaScript/React; Spring Framework and Spring Boot microservices; Hibernate; Oracle and PostgreSQL databases; containerised deployment via Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift; and cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external management.

·       Experience with banking projects is an added advantage.
