Principal SAP Solutions Consultant & Integration Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly seasoned Principal SAP Solutions Consultant & Integration Lead with a distinguished track record of delivering complex, large-scale digital transformations. With over 25 years of professional experience—including 20+ years specializing in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and cross-functional integrations—the ideal candidate will act as a pivotal link between business strategy and technical execution.

This role demands a strategic leader who has championed multiple global greenfield implementations, rollouts, and upgrades across both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. You will steer end-to-end delivery, drive multi-million dollar vendor RFPs, manage international stakeholders, and architect robust interface frameworks connecting SAP with modern third-party enterprise architectures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture & Global Delivery

• End-to-End Implementation: Lead global SAP S/4HANA and ECC implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements through all project phases (Blueprint, Configuration, Data Migration, Testing, Cutover, and Hypercare).

• Localization & Compliance: Architect and deliver complex legal and business GAP solutions, including intricate international taxation models (e.g., GST/Sales Tax, Excise, Withholding Tax, and specialized frameworks like Brazil’s Nota Fiscal).

• Data & Enterprise Governance: Lead large-scale Data Management initiatives, including the deployment of Enterprise Data Repositories (EDR) and the implementation of corporate Data Management Guidelines (EDG).

2. Integration & Ecosystem Connectivity

• Interface Design: Design and drive the execution of robust API-driven and EDI integrations linking SAP S/4HANA/ECC with SAP Commerce (Hybris), Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and other specialized legacy or third-party platforms.

• Emerging Tech Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deploy next-generation capabilities, including Chatbots, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and advanced digital printing workflows.

3. Project Management & Vendor Governance

• Strategic Planning: Assist Project Managers and business sponsors with high-level cost estimations, resource planning, and roadmap acceleration using Agile and Waterfall frameworks.

• Supplier Management: Own aspects of the vendor ecosystem by driving RFP processes, setting evaluation criteria, managing Pricing Analyses, and overseeing Proof of Concept (PoC) / Proof of Value (PoV) validations for global IT suppliers.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Serve as Test Lead to define global integration testing scopes, manage automated/manual defect lifecycles (via tools like HP ALM), coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage transition plans to Service Delivery Teams.

4. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

• Cross-Border Collaboration: Direct and facilitate strategic workshops involving international business units, super-users, and multi-cultural deployment teams across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.

• Resource Coordination: Lead matrixed project teams combining internal functional/technical personnel with premier external global IT consulting partners.

Required Experience & Technical Skill Sets

Primary Technical Competencies

• Core SAP Expertise: Advanced configuration and architecture knowledge in SAP SD (Order-to-Cash, Credit Management, Collections, Depot/Export Sales) and SAP MM (Procurement, Logistics Control Tower).

• ERP Eras: Equal proficiency navigating legacy SAP ECC systems and modern SAP S/4HANA architectures.

• Data Tools & Methodologies: Proven expertise in data migration cutovers, BDC programs, master data validation, and modern data cataloguing tools.

• Total Career Span: 25+ years of total professional experience, with 20+ years dedicated strictly to SAP Consulting.

• Industry Verticals: Demonstrated exposure to complex manufacturing environments, including Industrial Processing & Packaging, Chemicals, Machine Tools, Forging, and Industrial Gases.
