Product Development (FMCG)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Product Development Lead responsible for sourcing products and suppliers, managing new product development, and driving successful product launches. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet commercial, quality and operational requirements while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing and product development process from concept to commercialization.
• Source, evaluate and develop suppliers to achieve quality, cost and service objectives.
• Lead supplier negotiations and establish commercial agreements.
• Develop product specifications and coordinate product sampling, testing and approvals.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and ongoing product support.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements in quality, cost and service.
• Support demand planning, inventory management and promotional activities to ensure product availability.
• Conduct market research, cost analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify business opportunities.
• Prepare reports, analyse data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, product development or category management. Experience in FMCG or retail will be an advantage.
• Good commercial acumen with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Good understanding of sourcing, supply chain and product development processes.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
