Production Support Specialist

Job Summary

Join a team supporting critical systems for a leading International Wealth Management business, ensuring smooth operation of trading and wealth platforms in a 1-year contract role.

Responsibilities

• Resolve production incidents promptly and coordinate fixes with vendors and development teams to minimize system downtime
• Monitor system performance continuously and troubleshoot proactively to prevent disruptions
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), software releases, and production rollouts to ensure seamless deployment
• Liaise effectively with front-to-back business users to deliver timely incident resolutions and maintain service quality
• Operate within shift-based schedules (7am–4pm / 9am–6pm) and provide on-call support to maintain 24/7 system availability

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Apply 3+ years of application support experience in banking or financial services environments to maintain critical systems
• Utilize hands-on skills in Unix, SQL (Oracle/MSSQL), and scripting/automation to manage and optimize system operations
• Leverage experience with Wealth Management, Order Management Systems (OMS), or Execution Management Systems (EMS) to support platform stability
• Bring knowledge of Avaloq, MarginMan, or AWS platforms to enhance system support capabilities
• Use Autosys or similar job scheduling tools to automate and manage batch processes efficiently
• Bonus: Avaloq Certification, ITIL v3, FIX protocol knowledge, or foundational understanding of FX, Equity, or Derivatives markets
