Salesforce Solution Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise Salesforce solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce applications, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise platforms and third-party systems while maintaining solution integrity across enhancements and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable Salesforce solution designs and technical architecture.

• Design high-level and detailed Salesforce solutions with a configuration-first approach, leveraging declarative capabilities where appropriate.

• Manage Salesforce application architecture, including package management, metadata governance, and technical debt.

• Perform impact assessments for solution enhancements, including application performance, integrations, security, reporting, metadata dependencies, and overall system stability.

• Estimate implementation effort and provide technical recommendations to support solution planning and delivery.

• Design and maintain Salesforce integrations with enterprise applications and external platforms using industry-standard integration patterns.

• Develop scalable Salesforce data models and implement appropriate security architecture, including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing models.

• Optimise application performance and support platform upgrades by assessing seasonal Salesforce releases and recommending required enhancements.

• Incorporate secure design principles and industry best practices throughout the solution lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solution quality, maintainability, and alignment with business objectives.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams during implementation and maintenance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 7 years of experience in system design, software architecture, or enterprise application implementation.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform.

• Strong experience in Salesforce solution architecture, system integration, data modelling, security design, and application performance optimisation.

• Good understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, governance, and best practices.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce System Architect, or equivalent Salesforce certifications.

• Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, Grants Management, or similar enterprise Salesforce products.

• Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as Platform Events, MuleSoft, REST APIs, or equivalent integration frameworks.

• Familiarity with secure application design principles and recognised industry security standards.

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise digital transformation projects.
