SAP ABAP and MDG Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Technical Consultant with a strong background in SAP ABAP and SAP MDG (Master Data Governance). In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our SAP landscape, designing, developing, and implementing robust master data solutions. You will collaborate closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP MDG Technical Implementation

• Design & Development: Configure and customize SAP MDG solutions (Material, Customer, Vendor, Financial data models).

• Workflow Engineering: Design and implement complex change request workflows using SAP Business Workflow and BRFplus (Business Rule Framework plus).

• UI Customization: Extend and customize MDG User Interfaces using Web Dynpro ABAP and Floorplan Manager (FPM).

• Data Integration: Implement data replication frameworks (DRF), IDocs, ALE, and SOA services to ensure seamless data distribution to downstream systems.

2. Advanced SAP ABAP Development

• Core Development: Write clean, high-performance code using Advanced ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), and Enhancement Frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits, BTEs).

• Modern SAP Stack: Develop and optimize RICEFW objects, utilizing CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services for SAP S/4HANA.

• Performance Tuning: Code correction, troubleshooting, and performance tuning using tools like SAT, ATC, and SQL Trace.

3. Collaboration & Governance

• Technical Architecture: Prepare detailed technical design documents (TDD) and architectural blueprints.

• Code Review: Lead code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards, security policies, and best practices.

• Support: Provide Tier-3 technical support for critical production issues, debugging complex standard and custom code.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 3–4 years of dedicated technical experience in SAP MDG.

• Lifecycle Experience: Proven track record of participating in at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP MDG implementations or major upgrade projects.
