SAP ABAP Consultant (Data Migration) #IFL

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to support data migration activities as part of an ERP transformation project. The role involves extracting data from SAP systems, developing ABAP programs for data extraction, transforming data into the required format for the new ERP system, and ensuring data quality throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Migration

• Participate in end-to-end data migration activities from SAP to the new ERP system.
• Analyze source data structures and identify data extraction requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs to extract master and transactional data from SAP.
• Prepare extracted data in the format required by the target ERP system.

Data Mapping & Quality

• Work closely with functional consultants and business users to understand data requirements.
• Define and implement data mapping, transformation, and validation rules.
• Support data cleansing activities to improve data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues before migration.

Testing & Validation

• Execute migration test runs and support mock conversions.
• Perform data reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Validate migrated data and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure data integrity and completeness throughout the migration lifecycle.

Post-Migration Support

• Provide support during cutover and go-live activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues after migration.
• Assist business users in validating migrated data.
• Document migration processes, extraction logic, and reconciliation results.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience in developing ABAP reports, data extraction programs, and interfaces.
• Experience in SAP data migration or ERP implementation projects.
• Good understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and business processes.
• Experience with data mapping, data cleansing, and reconciliation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• Knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, SAP Data Services, or other ETL tools.
• Exposure to modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or HCM.
• Understanding of data governance and master data management principles.
