Role Overview
The Analyst supports the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA applications and enterprise software solutions. Working under the guidance of senior software developers and project managers, the incumbent contributes to software development activities, system testing, issue resolution, and technical documentation while gaining practical experience in SAP technologies and software engineering. The role also supports cross-border projects involving Japan and Southeast Asia through collaboration with Japanese-speaking clients, headquarters, and regional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of SAP S/4HANA applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Develop, modify, test, debug, and troubleshoot application programs under the guidance of senior software developers.
• Support software configuration, system integration, and application deployment activities.
• Prepare and execute unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and Functional Test (FT), assist in defect analysis and resolution.
• Analyse reported system issues and implement solutions under supervision to ensure application quality and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, program specifications, test scripts,and user documentation.
• Collaborate with software developers, functional consultants, business users, and project team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities to improve software development skills and technical competency.
• Support application maintenance, performance monitoring, bug fixes, and post-implementation support.
• Follow software development standards, version control procedures, and secure programming principles.
• Communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients, headquarters, and regional project teams to clarify technical requirements, support software development activities, and review technical and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Exposure to software development, programming, or enterprise application development through academic projects, internships, or professional experience.
• Experience or knowledge of SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing, debugging, and quality assurance principles.
• Knowledge of SAP business processes, particularly Finance (FI), Management Accounting (CO), or related modules, is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and collaborative environment.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English to communicate with Japanese-speaking clients, headquarters, and regional project teams, and to review, prepare, and translate technical and project documentation.
