Job Description - SAP ECP Payroll Consultant

Haier Group is a global leader in IoT ecosystem solutions, with Haier Smart Home (6690.HK /600690.SH) ranked as the world's #1 major appliance brand. As the Group's global strategy deepens, the digitalization of human resources has become a core pillar of the corporate strategy. The Group's Overseas HR Shared Services Centre (SSC) is advancing the implementation and optimization of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), with a strategic focus on Time Tracking module configuration to ensure accurate time data collection, attendance management, and seamless integration with payroll processing. We are recruiting an SAP ECP Payroll Consultant specializing in Time Tracking, based in Singapore, to lead the configuration, testing, and continuous improvement of time management solutions within the ECP framework.

Responsibilities

·       Lead the end-to-end configuration of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll(ECP) Time Tracking module, including time recording rules, work schedules, attendance/absence types, time valuation, and time-related payroll integration.

·       Design and configure time data collection workflows, including clock-in/clock-out data capture, manual time entry, approvals, and exception handling, ensuring alignment with country-specific labour regulations and collective agreements.

·       Configure and maintain Time Management Valuation Rules, Daily/Period Processing Rules, and Time Wage Type Generation to ensure accurate translation of time data into payroll wage types.

·       Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to gather business requirements, translate them into configuration specifications, and deliver implementable, maintainable solutions.

·       Perform system testing — including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) — for Time Tracking configurations; prepare test scripts and document results.

·       Design and implement integrations between Time Tracking and other SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Payroll, Time Off) as well as external time collection systems (e.g., workforce management tools, biometric devices, third-party attendance platforms) via APIs and middleware.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve Time Tracking production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective configuration changes.

·       Develop and maintain comprehensive configuration documentation, user manuals, and knowledge-base articles; deliver training sessions to HR administrators and end-users.

·       Support payroll cycles by ensuring time data accuracy, participating in parallel runs, and resolving time-related payroll discrepancies.

·       Stay current with SAP SuccessFactors ECP releases, evaluate new Time Tracking features, and recommend enhancements to improve system usability and business outcomes.

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

·       3+years of hands-on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)configuration experience, with a strong focus on the Time Tracking / Time Management module.

·       Deep understanding of SAP ECP Time Management concepts: work schedules, daily/period rules, time recording methods, attendance/absence configuration, time valuation, and time wage type generation.

·       Proven experience configuring country-specific time valuation rules and integrating time data with payroll processing across multiple geographies.

·       Familiar with SAP SuccessFactors module integrations — Employee Central (EC), Payroll, and Time Off; understanding of integration via SAP Cloud Platform Integration(CPI) or middleware is a plus.

·       Experience with time data collection from external systems (workforce management tools, biometric/time clock devices, third-party attendance platforms) is an advantage.

·       Solid understanding of payroll processing fundamentals and how time data flows into payroll wage types and gross-to-net calculations.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot configuration issues independently and deliver sustainable fixes.

·       Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills; able to bridge business (HR/Payroll) and IT teams, translating business language into technical solutions.

·       Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and spoken); able to work independently in a bilingual environment.

·       Prior experience in a multinational company or overseas team is preferred; familiarity with Southeast Asian labour regulations and time management compliance requirements is an advantage.
