Senior AI Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior AI Technical Lead to oversee the technical development and engineering quality of our AI software products and platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding junior engineers, reviewing architectures, validating AI-assisted development work, and ensuring that systems are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready.

You will play a key role in overseeing the development of AI-powered applications involving Generative AI, AI agents, workflow automation, enterprise integrations, and intelligent software systems.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Engineering Oversight

• Guide and mentor junior engineers on software engineering best practices and AI application development to enhance team capabilities
• Review and validate system architectures, technical implementations, and deployment approaches to ensure robustness and scalability
• Ensure AI-generated or AI-assisted code meets production-quality engineering standards for reliability and maintainability
• Establish coding standards, development workflows, documentation practices, and technical governance to maintain engineering excellence
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and architectural issues to sustain system performance and stability

AI Product & Application Development

• Oversee the development of AI-powered software products and internal platforms to deliver innovative solutions
• Design and guide systems involving Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents and multi-agent workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), workflow automation systems, AI copilots, and enterprise AI assistants
• Support the transition of prototypes and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) into scalable production systems to accelerate product delivery
• Evaluate and recommend suitable AI frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to optimize development and deployment

Architecture & Infrastructure

• Design and review backend architectures, APIs, databases, and system integrations to ensure seamless operation
• Ensure scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security across AI platforms to support business growth
• Support deployment and operational workflows across cloud and hybrid environments to enable flexible infrastructure management
• Guide engineering teams on version control, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment best practices to improve development efficiency

Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with product, business, and operations teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
• Participate in technical planning, feature design, and AI product roadmap discussions to align engineering efforts with business goals
• Support technical feasibility assessments and product innovation initiatives to drive continuous improvement

Required competencies and certifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, system architecture, or AI engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend development frameworks
• Strong understanding of scalable software architecture and engineering principles
• Experience with Generative AI / LLM applications, AI agents and orchestration frameworks, RAG systems, API integrations and microservices, cloud deployment, and modern development workflows
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Ability to review and improve engineering quality across projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience building AI SaaS platforms or enterprise AI applications
• Experience deploying AI applications into production environments
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, vector databases, or similar AI ecosystems
• Startup or fast-paced product development experience
