Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (Permanent, Fintech)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, compliant, and efficient Azure cloud development environments, ensuring adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
• Partner closely with solution architects to engineer Azure infrastructure components—including DevBox—and actively contribute to architecture, planning, and project delivery.
• Drive adoption of best practices in Azure cloud infrastructure design, offering technical leadership and delivering scalable, robust, and innovative cloud solutions.
• Provide hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure services and tools, with added value in areas such as Microsoft Intune, ensuring teams receive strong technical direction.
• Work with cross-disciplinary teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using IaC tools to enhance operational efficiency and streamline provisioning and maintenance workflows.
• Manage and monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability; provide timely communication on status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of emerging Azure technologies, security threats, and compliance trends to proactively improve infrastructure posture and embed a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology from a recognized institution; Azure Cloud certification is required.
• More than 15 years in IT operations or service delivery roles, with solid track record in enterprise-scale infrastructure initiatives.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud infrastructure with proven ability to manage, secure, and scale cloud environments; strong understanding of Azure governance and compliance.
• Advanced skills in Infrastructure as Code using tools such as ARM templates or Terraform; scripting abilities in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, connectivity, and security controls; experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration abilities with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in the banking or fintech domain is highly desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and professional certifications such as PMP or cybersecurity-related credentials are highly regarded.
