Senior Azure Integration Lead

Roles and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Open Banking and enterprise APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Implement API lifecycle management, including versioning, governance, monitoring, and security controls.
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and microservices to support digital banking and integration requirements.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT validation, consent management, and token security mechanisms.
• Integrate banking platforms, payment systems, fintech partners, and third-party applications.
• Design and develop cloud-native solutions using Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and Azure SQL.
• Build scalable, resilient, and high-performing serverless architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain GoAnywhere MFT workflows, file transfer automation, and secure data exchange solutions.
• Implement secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, and SCP.
• Configure and manage Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Application Gateway to protect APIs and web applications.
• Monitor and mitigate security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks for internet-facing applications.
• Develop backend applications and integration services using Java, Spring Boot, JSON/XML processing, and encryption technologies.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and release automation using Azure DevOps.
• Prepare and maintain technical design documents, solution architectures, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code and design reviews, mentor development teams, and drive engineering best practices.

Must Have

• Proven experience in Open Banking API Development and enterprise API integration.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure API Management (APIM), API governance, security, and lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and Azure Logic Apps for cloud-native solution development.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL Database.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, PingFederate, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT-based API security.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, including JSON/XML processing, encryption, and secure application development.
• Experience with GoAnywhere MFT, secure file transfer protocols, workflow automation, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong understanding of Secure Coding Practices, application security, authentication, authorization, and compliance standards.
• Experience creating Technical Design Documents (TDD/SDD) and maintaining OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API documentation

Good to have

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, release management, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and operational monitoring for cloud-based applications and APIs.
