Senior Backend Developer #IAC

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance backend systems using cutting-edge technologies.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to enforce security and access controls.
• Develop automated tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of backend systems.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in backend development, and advocate for their adoption when relevant.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and technical expertise to help them grow professionally.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Extensive experience in designing and building scalable backend systems, including microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, with experience in database design and optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in backend development.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset towards identifying and solving technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and experience with its implementation.
• Contributions to open-source projects or participation in tech communities.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Google Professional Cloud Developer).
