Senior C# Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a C# Backend Engineer to build and optimize high-performance distributed systems that power mission-critical applications. You will work on backend services handling high concurrency, high QPS (Queries Per Second), and low-latency transaction processing, while ensuring scalability, reliability, and system stability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using C# (.NET Core/.NET 6/7/8).
• Build and optimize high-concurrency, high-throughput distributed systems capable of handling large-scale traffic.
• Design RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Optimize application performance, including multithreading, asynchronous programming, memory management, and garbage collection.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance for high-volume workloads.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software following Agile development practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience using C#/.NET.
• Strong experience developing high-concurrency, high-QPS, or high-traffic backend systems.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming (async/await), concurrent collections, and performance tuning.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, caching, and messaging systems.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including SQL optimization and indexing.
• Familiarity with Redis, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), or similar middleware is highly preferred.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks in production environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative engineering team.
• Mandarin Chinese speaking ability is required to collaborate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional engineering teams.
