Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) / GOVT

Location: East

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support core infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, and virtualisation environments.
• Manage virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), including capacity monitoring, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
• Implement automation and modern operational practices to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
• Perform platform patching, security hardening, and access control management to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for infrastructure incidents, conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution.
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery (DR), and high-availability solutions for critical infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience managing virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments including compute, storage, and networking systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience providing L2/L3 infrastructure support.
• Familiarity with automation and modern infrastructure operations practices.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
