Senior Data Engineer | Enterprise Data

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday
• Working Location: Central
• Remuneration: Up to $9,000 + AWS + VB

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data platforms that support enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and AI initiatives. In this role, you will develop reliable data pipelines, enhance data platform performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted, production-ready data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Build and automate ETL/ELT workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Optimise data lakehouse and data warehouse platforms for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, and Lambda.
• Work with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and data quality processes to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Maintain data governance, security, and compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations.
• Contribute to CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation initiatives to improve engineering practices.
• Document data pipelines, architecture, and technical processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Airflow, dbt, or similar data engineering tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, S3, EMR, Athena, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or comparable modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of data modelling, performance optimisation, and large-scale data processing.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy regulations such as PDPA.
• AWS Data Engineering or Solutions Architect certification will be an advantage.
