Senior Data Engineer / GOVT

Location: Central (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract (Renewable basis)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand business processes and translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Conduct discovery workshops and solutioning activities for a future Case Management platform.
• Design logical and physical data models to support new business capabilities.
• Analyse existing data structures and identify opportunities for optimisation and modernisation.
• Define data mapping, integration, and migration strategies between legacy and future systems.
• Support the existing Case Management System across AWS RDS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle environments.
• Assess how enterprise systems exchange and integrate data across multiple platforms.
• Produce clear documentation on data architecture, data flows, and migration approaches.
• Work closely with architects, business analysts, and project teams throughout the discovery and implementation lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Min. 4-7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical).
• Experience performing data analysis, data profiling, and business-to-data translation.
• Knowledge of data integration, data mapping, and data migration planning.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Familiarity with AWS RDS or cloud-hosted database environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business domains.
• Comfortable engaging stakeholders and facilitating discussions during discovery and solution design.
