Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps & Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining enterprise Linux and cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across production environments.

This role requires strong expertise in Linux administration, AWS Cloud, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, containerization, and enterprise infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Linux-based infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
• Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, EFS, FSx, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, ELB, and SSM.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins integrated with Git and other DevOps tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, Shell scripting, and Python.
• Perform operating system installation, patch management, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.
• Configure and administer Linux (RHEL), Solaris, and Unix environments.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using Splunk, CloudWatch, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Support infrastructure migration projects including cloud migration, server consolidation, virtualization, and data centre migration.
• Configure and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions including Veritas NetBackup.
• Implement security best practices including privileged access management, server hardening, and network security configurations.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production incidents and drive permanent resolutions.
• Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and business continuity planning.
• Work closely with application, network, security, and project teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers where required.

Requirements

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in Linux Systems Administration, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise production environments.
