Senior Fullstack Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Developer to join a high-impact engineering team delivering enterprise-grade platforms for a leading financial services organisation. The successful candidate will contribute to the full software development lifecycle— from solution design and development through to deployment and production support — while working closely with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

This role suits a technically strong engineer with deep fullstack expertise who can operate independently, communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, and contribute meaningfully to architecture and integration decisions in a complex, regulated environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security in a financial services environment.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to define system architecture, integration patterns, API specifications, and data flow designs.
• Own end-to-end delivery across the full SDLC: requirements analysis, technical design, development, code review, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build and maintain RESTfulWeb APIs, backend services, and responsive frontend interfaces to support large-scale internal platforms and portals.
• Integrate with third-party platforms and internal enterprise systems using established patterns(OAuth/OpenID, REST, event-driven architecture).
• Implement AI-assisted or data-driven features (e.g. smart tagging, auto-summarisation, search enrichment) to improve platform intelligence and usability.
• Champion code quality through code reviews, performance optimisation, security best practices, and technical debt management.
• Contribute to sprint planning, task estimation, and delivery governance in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent standards across the team.
• Produce clear solution documentation including architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, and API specifications.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in fullstack development within enterprise or regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade platforms for financial services, investment, or banking organisations.
• Proven track record of working directly with enterprise architects and senior business stakeholders to define technical solutions.

Backend

• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem — .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 8 — includingASP.NET MVC and Web API.
• Solid experience with Entity Framework Core and ORM-based data access patterns.
• Working knowledge of Redisor equivalent in-memory caching and session management.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases: Microsoft SQL Server (required); PostgreSQL or Oracle(advantageous).

Frontend

• Proficient in React with TypeScript, including state management using Redux or Redux Saga.
• Experience building responsive, accessible enterprise UIs using component libraries (Ant Design, Kendo UI, Telerik, or similar).
• Strong grounding in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.

DevOps & Cloud

• Practical experience with Docker for containerisation and CI/CD pipeline tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).
• Hands-on cloud deployment experience, preferably on AWS (EC2, S3, or equivalent services).
• Familiarity with source control best practices using Git/GitHub; experience with Agile tooling (JIRA, Confluence).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Open Shift or Kubernetes for container orchestration in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML feature integration — e.g. natural language processing, smart tagging, automated summarisation, or embedding-based search — within production applications.
• Prior experience in a Technical Lead or offshore team coordination role, including delivery governance and stakeholder reporting.
• Familiarity with blockchain platforms or cryptocurrency exchange ecosystems (DeFi, KYC/AML workflows, wallet infrastructure).
• Experience with cross-platform desktop application development (e.g. Electron).
• Knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, or backend automation tasks.
• Exposure to legacy system modernisation or migration projects within regulated industries.
• Master's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
