Senior Hardware Developer

Our client is a well established global technology group with a long standing engineering presence in Singapore, designing and manufacturing advanced electronic hardware for demanding, high reliability applications worldwide. They are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Developer to join their digital hardware design team.

Responsibilities

• Own the schematic design and PCB layout of digital hardware for the company’s electronic hardware products

• Validate new hardware designs to confirm that components operate within datasheet limits and that product specifications are fully met

• Champion sound design practices and consistent engineering standards across the team

• Plan and carry out testing to verify compliance with EMC, environmental, and safety requirements

• Conduct device-level testing to confirm that products meet their defined performance targets and specifications

• Provide sustaining engineering support for products already in volume manufacturing

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in digital hardware design and validation

• Background in digital hardware design for embedded systems, including MCUs, MPUs, RAM, and NAND Flash

• Working knowledge of common interfaces and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RMII, Ethernet, and USB

• Practical experience applying signal-integrity and EMC principles in schematic capture and PCB layout using ECAD tools

• Hands-on experience in hardware validation and measurement, including the use of high-speed oscilloscopes.
