The Senior DB InfrastructureEngineer is responsible for designing, planning, supporting, and maintainingdatabase infrastructure build and operations to meet or exceed Service LevelAgreements. The role involves monitoring DB performance, resolving complextechnical problems, leading and managing DB Infrastructure teams, andproactively addressing business or regulatory challenges with recommendedimprovements. The position requires 24x7 standby availability for operationalor implementation support, advanced troubleshooting capabilities,resourcefulness in skill acquisition, teamwork, and effective team guidance andknowledge sharing.

What will youdo?

·      Leadteam delivery of optimum DB Infrastructure operations

·      Overseetechnical analysis of complex software, hardware, and DB Infrastructureequipment

·      Presentfindings and provide advice on capabilities and limitations

·      Reviewand improve documentation, installation, configuration, and troubleshootingprocesses

·      Leaddesign, installation, DB migration, and integration activities

·      Managetesting and handover of DB Infrastructure solutions

·      Conducttechnical system analysis to ensure solutions meet or anticipate demand

·      Designand implement DB Infrastructure adhering to architecture standards

·      Assistleadership in disaster recovery planning and testing

·      Improveissue resolution methods and techniques

·      Organizesystem maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery drills

·      Providecoaching and training for complex problem resolution

·      Simulateuser problems to solve operational challenges

·      Coordinatemaintenance tasks, including change requests

·      Leadmaintenance improvements using automation

·      Ensureoperations meet technical design and SLA requirements

·      Monitorsystem performance, uptime, and utilization

·      Reviewand assure quality of technical staff work

·      Developreports on security, performance, availability, and key metrics like throughputand capacity

·      Leadinitiatives to improve systems and service delivery via automation andvirtualization

·      Monitorthe impact of DB Infrastructure on application usage

·      Supportaudits, testing, and implementations regularly

The ideal candidate should possess:

·       Minimumuniversity degree in any related field

·       Over5 years of relevant IT/DB Infrastructure experience

·       Expertisein traditional and cloud databases, database high availability, architecturedesign, implementation, large-scale databases, data analytics, cloud platformsprivate/public/hybrid, performance tuning, migration, auditing, securityhardening, ITIL frameworks

·       Automationand scripting technologies such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting

·       ServiceNowplatform familiarity
