Senior Java Developer

Our client is a leading data‑driven organization in the financial services domain, leveraging advanced analytics and large‑scale data platforms to drive business and regulatory outcomes. The role focuses on building robust, high‑performance Java backend systems supporting complex data processing workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java backend systems for large‑scale data processing and analytics.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement parallel and distributed data processing solutions to efficiently manage large and complex datasets.
• Optimize application memory usage and overall system performance for data‑intensive workloads.
• Develop and maintain integrations with relational databases and enterprise data warehouses.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytical use cases.
• Implement robust data security controls and ensure compliance with data protection and governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce high engineering and coding quality standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support data engineering and backend delivery workflows.

Technical Skills

• 7+ years of hands‑on Java backend development, preferably within data‑intensive or regulated environments.
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex query design and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of parallel data processing frameworks and performance‑oriented design techniques.
• Proven expertise in memory management, JVM tuning, and system performance optimization.
• Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL Server preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of SDLC best practices, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of data security principles, access controls, and privacy protection measures.
