Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist (Minimum 6 years)

Job Summary

The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure to ensure the availability, performance, and security of network systems. Working closely with project teams, you will troubleshoot network issues, optimize network performance, implement infrastructure enhancements, and deliver reliable networking solutions for project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, VLAN, and VNET solutions.
• Perform network installation, upgrades, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Implement and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, firmware patching, and security best practices.
• Support and integrate enterprise security and management platforms such as Active Directory, MFA, ClearPass, ESXi, CyberArk, SolarWinds, ManageEngine, F5, SIEM, and related technologies.
• Monitor network health, optimize performance, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain network documentation, backup and restore configurations, and prepare performance and incident reports.
• Work closely with technical managers, system engineers, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to deliver network solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with vendors for support and maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, MPLS, QoS, and SD-WAN technologies.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in network troubleshooting and monitoring tools (e.g. Wireshark, PingPlotter, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Experience with network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and network segmentation.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid networking (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware NSX, ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Experience with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or other relevant networking certifications.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
