Job Description – Senior Network Security Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise network and security infrastructure across data centres and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Cisco networking, next-generation firewalls, data centre technologies, cloud networking, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and Data Centre network infrastructure.
• Manage and administer Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, Cisco ACI (APIC, Leaf & Spine architecture), and SD-WAN environments.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot security platforms including Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet and Zscaler.
• Administer Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies including OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VLANs, ACLs, VPNs and MPLS.
• Support Load Balancers including F5 LTM/GTM.
• Perform network hardening, vulnerability remediation and security policy reviews.
• Manage firewall rule changes, security policies and network segmentation in accordance with security standards.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations and technology refresh initiatives.
• Work closely with vendors and technology partners to deliver network implementation projects.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and lead complex incident troubleshooting.
• Ensure network availability, performance, redundancy and disaster recovery readiness.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, operational procedures and technical standards.
• Perform change management activities following ITIL best practices.
• Monitor enterprise infrastructure using network monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Datadog and other enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing, switching and wireless technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and enterprise data centre networking.
• Strong experience managing:Palo Alto FirewallsCheck Point FirewallsCisco ASA / FTDFortinet FirewallsZscaler (ZIA/ZPA)
• Good knowledge of:BGPOSPFMPLSVPNHSRPQoSNetwork Security
• Experience supporting Load Balancers (F5 LTM/GTM).
• Familiarity with network access control solutions such as Aruba ClearPass and 802.1X authentication.
• Experience with cloud networking on AWS and Azure is an advantage.
• Experience working in banking, government or highly regulated enterprise environments is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Change and Problem Management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and vendor management skills.
