Senior QA Automation Engineer

Our client is a major global financial institution expanding its Testing Centre in Singapore. This role offers a senior technical leader the opportunity to drive automation strategy, build robust frameworks, and lead delivery for critical banking interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the end-to-end automation test strategy aligned with project timelines. Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks covering web, mobile, API, and integration layers.
• Lead the scripting, execution, and continuous maintenance of automated test cases for critical interfaces and applications. Ensure comprehensive automation coverage across functional, regression, and API layers.
• Align all automation initiatives with Agile and DevOps practices, seamlessly integrating automation tools into build and release pipelines.
• Act as a hands-on technical lead, mentoring a team of automation engineers across onshore, offshore, internal, and external models.
• Partner closely with QA Test Leads, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to report on automation coverage, progress, and ROI.

Requirements:

• Financial Services Domain: Proven experience working within the banking or financial services sector is mandatory.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in API testing methodologies and tools.
• Specific experience in API and payments testing for banking interfaces is required.
• Technical Lead Experience: Minimum of 7 years in QA, with at least 3 years explicitly spent in a hands-on Automation Lead or technical management role.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Certified SDET, or equivalent.
