About our client
Our client is a technology company building institutional-grade infrastructure for crypto options and derivatives trading — not an exchange, but the technology layer behind leading exchanges and top-tier institutional trading desks, providing trading systems, risk engines, and market-making tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the company's core platform services in Rust, supporting institutional-grade trading scenarios
• Continuously deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective data services
• Provide architectural and performance optimization solutions, driving fast iteration of backend systems
• Collaborate closely with product and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and observability

Requirements

• Proficient in Rust, with production-grade backend or systems-level application experience
• Solid CS fundamentals: operating systems, networking, concurrency, algorithms and data structures
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems or microservice architectures
• Familiar with async runtimes (Tokio, async-std) and the Rust ecosystem (Actix, Axum, Serde, Cargo)
• Hands-on experience with caching (Redis), messaging (Kafka), and data streaming (Flink or equivalents)
• Crypto industry experience preferred

Flat structure, reporting directly to the CTO, with no rigid hierarchy, with strong emphasis on ownership and fast delivery. Full team uses AI tools extensively; founders are hands-on and deeply technical.
