Senior Software Engineer (.NET/IoT)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support IoT applications and connected devices.
• Build and manage secure device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device communication using protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and WebSockets.
• Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines to handle high-volume IoT data streams and enable real-time insights.
• Integrate IoT solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support reliable and scalable end-to-end system connectivity.
• Implement security, monitoring, and performance optimisation measures to ensure system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and frontend teams to deliver seamless IoT solutions and system integrations.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in backend software development, preferably within IoT, cloud-native, or distributed systems environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET technologies.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven or distributed systems.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as MQTT, Kafka, or AMQP and real-time data processing workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerised or serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data pipeline design, and backend system integration.
• Good understanding of system scalability, performance tuning, security best practices, and troubleshooting in production environments.
