Senior System Engineer

We are assisting our client, a reputable organization to source for a Senior System Engineer and the role is Operations and Support in nature. The successful applicant is required to work with third party system administrators or vendors to resolve incidents or issues on daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:

- Monitor systems on various Platforms to deliver optimal performance in high volume enterprise environments.

- Work with third party system administrators or vendors to resolve integration issues.

- Participate in key technical and design discussions with engineering and operations teams.

- Monitor health of the platforms for periodic reporting and provide continuous improvements such as automating manual tasks to meet demanding ops needs.

- Provide regular status reporting to management and other stakeholders on overall system’s health, progress, issues, and technical risks.

- Track and manage maintenance and support SLAs and KPIs on systems.

- Support hardware refresh and hardening of systems.

- Support firmware and software update/upgrade.

- Perform documentation on the changes and automation works performed.

Job Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

- At least 4-6 years of experience in areas of System Engineer / Operations & Support

- Hands-on experience in Systems and Servers

- Experience in supporting 24 by 7 call support

- Good communication skills and experience in working with vendors
