Senior System Engineer (MicroStrategy)

Job Description

• Work with stakeholders including customers, partners and colleagues on system level technical issues for MicroStrategy;
• Perform installation/upgrade of MicroStrategy on-premises and on cloud infrastructure;
• Perform software configuration e.g. user authorization, LDAP authentication, SSO etc.;
• Perform ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly and yearly patching for MSTR software;
• Document, manage and maintain MSTR interfaces to data warehouse e.g. PostgreSQL, data virtualisation platform e.g. Denodo;
• Monitor and report SLAs for MSTR system related service requests;
• Ensure compliance to data security and governance standards stipulated by customers;

Academic Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent
• Recognised professional or industrial certifications in relevant technologies or competencies.

Technical Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Technical expertise in:
  - Working knowledge of Relational/Non-relational/NoSQL database and enterprise datawarehouse;
  - Proficiency in installation and configuration of MicroStrategy is a must;
  - Proficiency in configuration of MicroStrategy map function will be advantageous;
  - Proficiency in installation and configuration of Denodo will be advantageous;
  - Scripting, programming and software development using e.g. Java, Python, SQL etc. for the purpose of system automation will be advantageous;

• Experience in design and development of dashboard and data analytic solutions usingMicroStrategy;
• Some knowledge for machine learning and Generative AI will be advantageous.
