Senior Technical Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities

·       Lead and own end-to-end MES solution design using AspenTech APEM across project lifecycle

·       Translate business, manufacturing, and quality requirements into robust functional and technical design (URS/FDS/DS)

·       Design and configure complex manufacturing workflows, including weighing &dispensing, material tracking, and equipment management

·       Define MES architecture aligned to ISA-95 and S88, including equipment models, process flows, and batch execution strategies

·       Lead design and implementation of EBR / eMBR / GMBR lifecycle management within APEM

·       Architect and govern system integrations between MES, DCS/PLC (DeltaV, PCS7), ERP (SAP),and enterprise systems

 Technical Expertise

·       Strong expertise in Aspen Production Execution Manager (APEM) for lifecycle management of GMBRs and eMBRs

·       Hands-on experience with Aspen Batch.21 and Aspen Production Record Manager (APRM) for batch history and reporting

·       Proficiency in Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP.21) and Aspen Process Explorer for real-time dataanalysis and deviation investigation

·       Experience configuring Aspen Material Tracking, Label Manager, and Equipment Manager for manufacturing execution and compliance

Requirements

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or related field

·       14 +years of experience in MES within pharmaceutical or bio pharmaceutical manufacturing

·       Proven experience in AspenTech APEM at design / architect level (mandatory)

·       Strong expertise in end-to-end MES architecture, workflow modelling, and solution design

·       Deep understanding of S88 batch processes and ISA-95 integration models

·       Experience in MES integration with automation, ERP, LIMS, and historian systems

·       Strong knowledge of CSV lifecycle, validation strategy, and regulatory compliance frameworks

Preferred Experience

·       Experience in API manufacturing and batch record design for API processes

·       Exposure to multi-site MES rollouts and template-based deployments

·       Experience in continuous manufacturing, PAT, or advanced process optimization initiatives
