Senior/Associate Engineer

Job Summary

Lead and execute 4G site rollout and network optimization projects to meet KPIs. Manage engineering activities, contractors, and customer relations while ensuring timely project delivery and network service quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform 4G site rollout including site surveys, site design, testing, commissioning, drive tests, and network optimization to meet KPIs
• Manage, monitor, and track engineering activities to ensure efficient completion within set timeframes
• Design in-building network solutions and resolve customer complaints with effective technical solutions
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met
• Source and procure suitable equipment and materials required for projects
• Review tender documents, identify technical concerns, and manage the technical aspects of tender projects
• Provide project design and costing, liaising with customers to address project issues
• Liaise with, manage, and monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to schedules and milestones
• Evaluate and negotiate quotes from contractors and suppliers to optimize project costs
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot the 4G network to maintain required grade of service
• Oversee and troubleshoot technical trials and services implemented by the company
• Address customer complaints related to Tetra, LTE, GRIDTalk, and other company services by providing solutions and costing
• Prepare required documentation, presentations, and progress reports for team activities
• Monitor spare parts and inventory levels necessary for network operation and projects
• Remain contactable 24x7 and perform standby duties for faults, major events, and as required by the company

Required competencies and certifications

• Tertiary education qualification majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
• Relevant telecommunications certification and experience working with 4G, wireless, and RF networks
• Minimum 2 years of experience in LTE mobile network maintenance
• Knowledge of 4G radio access technologies, antenna systems, and RF principles
• Singapore Class 3 driving licence
• Ability to work in rooftop, tunnels, construction sites, and harsh/dusty environments

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat, and related software
• Strong interpersonal skills with resourcefulness, ownership, conceptualization ability, and team motivation skills
• Willingness to perform standby duties at site and remotely
• Ability to work overtime and collaborate effectively as a team player with a positive attitude
