Software Engineer in Test

Brief Job Description

Owns the design and implementation of scalable test automation —from defining automation strategy and building frameworks to ensuring reliable,high-quality releases. The role develops and maintains automated test suitesfor web and API testing using Playwright and TypeScript, integrates testinginto CI/CD pipelines, and works closely with engineering and DevOps to ensurestable environments and fast feedback loops. Applies white-box and gray-boxtechniques for comprehensive coverage and contributes to AI-assisted testingand reusable automation components. Requires 4+ years of QA and test automation experience, including 2+ years with Playwright and TypeScript.

Education

·      Bachelor’s degree or higher inComputer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practicalexperience.

Responsibilities

·      Define automation strategy andbuild/maintain test frameworks.

·      Develop automated web and APItest suites with Playwright and TypeScript.

·      Integrate automated testinginto CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).

·      Apply white-box and gray-boxtechniques for comprehensive coverage.

·      Partner with engineering andDevOps on stable environments and fast feedback.

·      Mentor on testing bestpractices and reusable automation components.

Qualifications &Experience

·      4+ years of experience in QAand test automation, including 2+ years with Playwright and TypeScript.

·      Strong expertise in automationframeworks and CI/CD (GitLab CI).

·      Solid understanding ofwhite-box and gray-box testing.

·      Experience with API testing andmodern development practices.

·      Good coding ability anddebugging skills.

Nice to Have (NotObligatory)

·      Experience with AI-assistedtesting tools.

·      Performance or load testingexperience.

·      Exposure to cloud environmentsand containerised test infrastructure (Kubernetes).
