Software Quality Engineer

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about building quality into products from the ground up. In this role, you’ll join a small, focused QA team and work closely with Software and DevOps Engineers to shape how we approach testing and quality across the organisation.

This isn’t just about executing test cases. You’ll have the opportunity to influence our QA practices, help define the right tools and frameworks, and contribute to a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across the engineering team.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and performance testing, building on and improving our existing frameworks.
• Partner with DevOps Engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable feedback for every release.
• Help establish and evolve our QA standards, tools, and best practices as we continue to scale.
• Work closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers early in the development cycle to clarify requirements, improve testability, and define meaningful acceptance criteria.
• Investigate test failures with a critical eye, identifying root causes and working collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Explore and apply GenAI tools where they add real value to testing workflows, such as test generation, data management, or result analysis.
• Contribute to clear and practical documentation to support knowledge sharing within the team.

What We're Looking For:

• Min. 4 years of experience in QA or test engineering, with a strong focus on automation.

• Hands-on experience in automating tests across UI, API, and performance layers.

• Familiarity with Java and/or JavaScript testing ecosystems, in line with our tech stack (Java and React).

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and an understanding of how testing fits into modern DevOps practices.

• A practical, tool-agnostic mindset — you’re comfortable evaluating and choosing the right tools for different scenarios.

• Experience contributing to QA practices or frameworks, or a genuine interest in helping shape them.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in agile environments where priorities can evolve.

• Interest in or exposure to using GenAI in testing, with good judgement on when it’s actually useful.

• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
