Software Quality Engineer

With a strong track record across technically complex projects for both government and private-sector organisations, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure every release meets the highest standards of quality, usability, accessibility, and performance.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in validating the quality of our web applications, helping us deliver reliable, accessible, and high-performing solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated) to ensure product quality across complex workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and define clear, verifiable acceptance criteria.
• Architect, build, and maintain automated test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Ensure software meets accessibility, usability, and compliance standards (e.g., WCAG, government regulations).
• Ensure high-quality releases by integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing across environments.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to developers, log defects with thorough documentation, and participate in code reviews from a QA perspective.
• Contribute to the definition, mentoring, and continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.

Skill Requirements

Must Have:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, or Software Tester (Mid to Senior level).
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and bug lifecycle processes.
• Solid experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Robot Framework, with hands-on expertise in underlying web drivers and libraries (Browser Library, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
• Hands-on experience with cross-browser execution and cloud platforms such as TestMu AI (formerly LambdaTest).
• Knowledge of and practical experience using accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe-core, TestMu/LambdaTest) to check compliance against WCAG standards.
• Hands-on experience testing APIs (Postman, Newman, REST Assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and issue-tracking platforms (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive mindset.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium).
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Grafana, k6) and experience interpreting throughput , response times, and error rates.
• Basic knowledge in security testing
• Working knowledge of SQL for database and backend data verification.
