Software Test Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, and Project Managers to identify issues, improve product quality, and deliver excellent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and expected functionality
• Conduct manual and/or automated testing for web and mobile applications
• Ensure software quality standards and testing best practices are followed
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective
• Support release testing and production validation
• Analyze test results and prepare testing reports
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
• Experience with manual testing and defect tracking tools
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar
• Knowledge of API testing and database validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Understanding of performance and security testing concepts
• ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus
• Experience testing SaaS, mobile, or enterprise applications
