Tech Lead (Web and Mobile Application)

Overview

We are partnering with a leading digital payments provider to hire a Tech Lead in Singapore. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and customer-facing payment applications across web and mobile platforms. You will play a central role in shaping architecture, driving delivery, and aligning technical solutions with business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

You will define and lead end-to-end solution architecture for digital payment platforms, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Acting as the bridge between business and engineering, you will translate requirements into robust technical designs and guide cross-functional teams through the full software development lifecycle. This includes overseeing code quality, architecture reviews, and integration with banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless user journeys, while presenting architectural decisions and trade-offs to senior stakeholders. In parallel, you will drive cloud and DevOps practices, including CI/CD implementation and infrastructure setup (e.g. AWS).

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline, with at least 8 years of software development experience, including experience in a technical leadership or architecture capacity. You bring hands-on experience delivering customer-facing applications, ideally within payments or financial services, and have a strong understanding of payment systems, transaction flows, and security standards such as PCI-DSS and data protection frameworks. You are experienced across mobile (iOS/Android) and modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular), with solid backend expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar. Familiarity with cloud environments, agile delivery, and DevOps practices is expected. You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, translating complex requirements, and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on delivering end-to-end outcomes.
