Technical Manager (AWS / Azure Cloud Infrastructure)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Technical Manager to lead the design, deployment, and operations of enterprise cloud environments across AWS and Azure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for cloud architecture, automation, security, and operational excellence across both Day 1 (deployment) and Day 2 (operations) activities.

You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure cloud platforms while driving automation, continuous improvement, and cloud governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud architectures across AWS and Azure platforms
• Develop cloud solutions aligned with enterprise security, compliance, and technology standards
• Evaluate and implement new cloud services, tools, and deployment models
• Support cloud migrations, integrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost optimization opportunities
• Oversee cloud operations, platform maintenance, and automation tooling
• Lead incident resolution, troubleshooting, and operational improvement initiatives
• Develop and execute disaster recovery testing and resilience exercises
• Maintain cloud architecture documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and operating enterprise cloud environments on AWS and Azure
• Proven expertise across both Day 1 deployment activities and Day 2 cloud operations
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or similar IaC tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud monitoring solutions
• Experience with cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices
• Python scripting experience is advantageous
• Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud environments; Google Cloud knowledge is a plus
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in Agile and DevOps environments
