Technical Product Manager Lead - Flight System Integration

Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and technical leader to drive the development and implementation of critical technical products. This role is responsible for the overall strategy, maintenance, and optimization of API connections between Traveloka and our global suppliers, including Airline direct APIs & Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

As the Lead for Flight System Integration, you are the backbone of Traveloka’s flight engine. You will ensure that millions of users receive real-time, accurate pricing and a seamless booking experience across a global network of over 200+ airlines. Your work directly impacts Traveloka's mission to enable users to discover and fulfill their travel aspirations.

• Own the technical product vision and strategy across the Flight Integration product line, aligning it with broad business priorities.
• Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering their career growth and technical development while building a high-performance culture.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external suppliers (Airlines, GDS), influence their product roadmaps to solve complex integration hurdles and unlock new capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps, translating business needs into technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Oversee the optimization of API success rates, accuracy, and latency, ensuring high-scale system performance.
• Manage the on-call rotation schedule to ensure 24/7 high availability of the flight product while maintaining team well-being.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a reputable university.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in product management, specifically within technical domains in the travel or tech industry.
• Deep experience in the Flight API ecosystem (GDS, PSS, or booking engines). Familiarity with NDC (New Distribution Capability) standards will be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience debugging XML & JSON-based transactions. Strong understanding of system design, including microservices and caching strategies for high-traffic environments.
• Proven track record of leading product teams and launching successful, high-impact technical products.
• Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
