Job Description - Technical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for Windows servers, Active Directory, virtualization platforms (VMware), and airport operational systems.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, LAN environments, routing, and switching operations.

  • Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for network connectivity, hardware, software, and performance-related incidents.

  • Perform system health monitoring, backup validation, recovery support, issue resolution, and operational maintenance using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.

  • Support software/hardware installations, upgrades, testing, maintenance, and operational readiness activities to ensure system availability and stability.

  • Coordinate incident management, escalation, service restoration, and maintenance activities with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and change records while ensuring compliance with ITIL service management practices and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, system administration, or technical support environments.

  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and general infrastructure support operations.

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, routing, switching, and LAN environments.

  • Familiarity with network security and monitoring tools, including Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls, and SolarWinds or similar platforms.

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, VMware, or ITIL certifications are preferred.

  • Experience supporting mission-critical or 24x7 operational environments, with strong troubleshooting, incident management, and operational support skills.

    Business working hours with occasional after-office-hours or shift support when operationally required.
