Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain cutting edge telecommunications systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across voice, data, and video networks. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the expansion of next generation infrastructure (e.g., 5G, fiber optics, IoT).

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Deployment

Plan, configure, and upgrade telecom networks (e.g., mobile, broadband, satellite).

Implement network solutions using technologies like SDH, DWDM, VoIP, and IP/MPLS.

Ensure compliance with Singapore’s regulatory standards (IMDA guidelines).

2. Maintenance & Optimization

Monitor network performance and conduct root cause analysis for outages.

Optimize network capacity, latency, and reliability for enterprise and consumer clients.

3. Technical Support

Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated network issues.

Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Ericsson) for equipment troubleshooting.

4. Project Management

Lead telecom projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

Prepare technical documentation, including network diagrams and test reports.

5. Innovation

Research emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, cloud based telephony, network virtualization) and propose upgrades.

Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

Minimum 1–3years in telecom network design, installation, or operations.

Hands on experience with telecom equipment (e.g., routers, switches, PBX systems).

Familiarity with Singapore’s telecom infrastructure and IMDA regulations is a plus.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in protocols: TCP/IP, SIP, BGP, OSPF.

Knowledge of fiber optics, wireless technologies (LTE/5G), and network security.

Experience with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.

Soft Skills :

Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred) :

CCNA/CCNP, PMP, or certifications in 5G/cloud technologies.

Language : Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is advantageous.
